A 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended, and we advise arriving before dark. That being said, once you arrive, you'll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the valley and beyond from the huge deck, complete with plenty of seating and a hot tub perfect for relaxing and stargazing. Outside, there's also a fire pit with rustic wooden benches, perfect for family s'mores sessions and cool nights. Please bring your own firewood or grab from the forest on property. Inside, you'll find a spacious 5,555 square foot home with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Four of the bedrooms feature a large king size bed, while one has 2 double bunk beds for kids' sleepovers. There's even a room specifically designed for your dog's comfort, so the whole family can enjoy the getaway. For entertainment, there's a large library and game room on the main floor with plenty of table seating and rocking chairs by the gas fireplace (The fireplace in the living room does not work and is decorative only). In the basement, there's a billiard pool table and air hockey table, as well as two TVs with Roku Smart TV set up for you to access Netflix, Hulu, and more. Plus, there's a sauna spa room for your relaxation. The kitchen is fully equipped with almost anything you could need, including a refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, stove, microwave, coffee makers, blender, stand mixer, waffle maker, ice cream maker, bread maker, electric kettle, and various pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. We made sure to completely fill the kitchen shelves, so you will have plenty of dishes and utensils at your disposal. There's also two BBQ grill outside on the back porch. You can use the gas grill or bring your own charcoal for the simple charcoal grill provided. During your stay, all linens and towels are provided, as well as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, dish soap and sponge, dishwasher tablets, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. We hope you enjoy your stay in our mountain cabin and all it has to offer! **Sorry final reminder so we don't surprise any of our guests!** BEFORE BOOKING, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ROAD APPROACHING THE HOME IS RUSTIC/BUMPY. There is a 0.25 mile bumpy one way, unpaved road going up the mountain. Please drive slowly and sober. We strongly advise that a four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle is used. It is advised to arrive on the property before it gets dark. Guests will have access to the entire home, except the owner’s storage room and closets in the basement and the garage. Please message through Airbnb if you have any questions or issues at any time. Please note that the door lock keypad is located in the BACK porch of the cabin (the side facing the mountain). It is NOT located on the front deck doors. Parking available on property driveaway for up to 5 cars comfortably. For additional parking, please pay to park at the National Harpers Ferry Park instead. Do NOT park on the road going up the mountain as that is not our property! Cars NOT properly parked in the driveway or National Park are subject to be towed at owners expense. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS FOR ANY REASON. We have multiple exterior security cameras on-site and can detect if people outside of your group come to the house. Any unauthorized guests will result in IMMEDIATE cancellation of your reservation with NO refund. There is a noise ordinance in the area after 10 PM, so please keep all outside noises down after 10 PM out of respect for our neighbors. We have a septic system, so please only flush toilet paper and NOTHING else. If the septic clogs during your stay, a fee will be assessed to have a plumber come and make repairs. No smoking of any kind, including vaping, is allowed indoors. Check-in is anytime after 3 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM. You can access the cabin through self-check-in with the keypad at the porch door located on the mountain backside of the cabin. Please be aware that the cabin is located in the mountains, and there is a long, approximately 0.25-mile flat/gently sloped unpaved gravel driveway. We strongly advise that you use a four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle to travel to the cabin. Low profile vehicles such as sports cars are not recommended. Please note that we do not offer refunds or cancellations due to weather or natural disasters, so make sure you're comfortable with this before booking. Travel insurance is recommended. Pets and children are allowed at the cabin, but please keep a close eye on them for any injury or damages. The property is not fenced in, so be mindful of wildlife and our neighbors' pets. Please do not leave any trash or food waste outside, as it may attract wild animals and bugs. There are wildlife around the cabin, and we have seen bears and large deer. Wifi is available at the cabin, but it may be spotty in certain locations. If you need a faster connection, personal cellular data works well in the cabin. Please do not rearrange the furniture, as it may damage the floors and walls. The guest booking the property must be 25 years of age or older. We reserve the right to request a photo or scan of a government-issued photo ID. The guest who books must stay at the property. You may not book for others if you do not intend to stay at the property. No refunds will be provided for inoperable appliances, hot tub, sauna, telephone, TV, games, etc. We will make every reasonable effort to assure that such appliances remain in good working order. We will service and restore these amenities as quickly as possible, but we will not make any rental concessions for time without these items. Please follow all guidelines and policies regarding the use of amenities to keep them functioning properly. No refunds will be given due to power blackouts, water shortages, flooding, snow, construction at adjacent properties, or mandatory evacuations of the area by government officials due to potentially dangerous situations arising from acts of God or nature. Travel insurance is recommended. Guests are not entitled to any claim against Owners of the property arising out of the Guest's inability to complete their travel plans for any reason outside of the control of the Owners. PENALTIES FOR THE FOLLOWING: The following penalties will be held against your security deposit, and a claim will be filed with Airbnb. - Excessive contamination of hot tub (pee, dirt, heavy lotions/creams, etc.) that requires us to drain and refill: $350 - Smoking in the home: $150 - Late checkout past 11 AM: $75 - Excessive guests or pets not listed on the original reservation: $50 per guest/pet. - Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $300 - Illegal substances are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction from the property. Guests agree that any drug use on the property or any use of the Property in any unlawful purpose or violation of any law or ordinance on or about the Property will immediately terminate the occupancy and be grounds for immediate eviction from the Property. Guests shall be liable for any and all costs incurred by Host and the refund will not be provided for the remaining balance of the stay.
