Nana's Cabin is located on a private pond 4 miles from downtown Talkeetna. This charming log home was built in 1991 by local builders for their mother (Nana). Perfect for all seasons, accommodations include a full kitchen and one bathroom. There is a 1/2 mile walking trail on the property. Host, Diane is also Studio Z Yoga's instructor. She offers weekly classes, private instruction, yoga therapy, and custom workshops. Prices and schedule are on her website. NO PETS - Please don't ask! This 1,250 square foot log home was built in the early nineties by Top Notch Logbuilders. It is perfect for guests who want to spend more than one night in Talkeetna. Full kitchen with pots, dishes, coffee, tea, etc and a barbecue on the deck make cooking easy. Tap water is good to drink - save the planet and skip the bottled water! Bathroom has tub, shower & full size washer/dryer. Upstairs common area has two twin beds and a double pull out couch for a variety of sleeping options. There is plenty of room for reading, playing games, doing yoga, or relaxing. Book shelf for guests to take or leave a book. No TV reception but there are DVDs and a player. Pond side location is great for swimming, canoeing, wildlife and sunset viewing in summer and skiing or skating in winter. Guests are free to enjoy the entire cabin and property. There is a half mile walking trail through the woods and a canoe at the pond for guests to use. Please stay off the neighbor's diving platform in the middle of the lake. No outdoor fires! We live across the road and are available during guests stay. Nana's Cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood on a private pond 4 miles from downtown Talkeetna. There is easy access to the bike path, walking trails and groomed cross country ski trails. Moose are often found roaming the neighborhood. Local shuttle service is available in this area. The cabin is 1/4 mile from the Talkeetna Spur Road where it is possible to access the bike path. The Sunshine Transit provides shuttle service to both ends of the Talkeetna Spur Road. Diane is the owner/instructor of Studio Z Yoga. This small yurt studio is located 1/4 mile from Nana's Cabin. Custom yoga classes and private sessions are available by appointment. Guests are also welcome at Diane's regularly scheduled yoga classes. Please note that while we can see the peak of Denali from Talkeetna, the Denali Park Entrance is a three hour drive from here.
