This private, comfortable, two story guest house is located one block from Downtown! With stylish furniture, a large furnished private deck, and a space that can comfortably sleep 4, it's sure to give you a great visit. Enjoy a short walk to Shakespeare (6-8 mins per iPhone map), great coffee shops, Lithia Park, amazing restaurants, or stay in and enjoy the view off the private second story deck. We feel fortunate to offer such a lovely space in such a great location. PA number on file. Permitted by the City of Ashland, this charming guest house is nearly 700 sq. feet (not including the deck!) and offers a spacious DOWNSTAIRS bathroom (with tub and shower), living room, kitchen, loft bedroom, air conditioning, and a large private deck. We offer a king sized bed in the open UPSTAIRS loft and a full sized pull out sofa sleeper downstairs in the living room. There is a spiral staircase which connects the living room downstairs to the open loft bedroom upstairs. One of our favorite parts is the large private deck which sits on the second floor. It has a rural feel but sits atop downtown! For those traveling with children, we offer baby gates, a high chair, outlet covers, and a pack-n-play (upon request.) We also have some children's dishes, books, toys, and DVD's (and DVD player). We also offer coffee/tea and Netflix and Hulu (no cable or antenna channels available) for you to enjoy! Please note - due to Ashland's strict zoning requirements, we are not able to offer a traditional cooking stove/oven. For those who wish to dine in, we provide high quality table top induction burners (the same that most stoves offer), a large toaster oven (which can fit a 16" pizza), coffee pot and electric tea kettle, and a microwave. While we were disappointed we were not able to provide a traditional stove, we were happy to discover such well designed and effective alternatives. There is a separate entrance to the guest house and guests are free to come and go as they please. There is a key lock box attached to the front entrance for conveniece. The host(s) are available for questions. We have spent most our lives in the Rogue Valley and are happy to share our knowledge with any and all, upon request. We are located in the beautiful historical Ashland district. We feel very fortunate to live in such a lovely neighborhood. We are in the midst of beautiful Downtown Ashland and are within close walking distance to so many of Ashland's hot spots - Lithia Park, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Theaters, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, etc... Once the car is parked you will be able to enjoy all that downtown Ashland provides, on foot! The guest house is nestled in the back corner of the lot, near the backyard of the main house. While we have gone to great lengths to ensure visible privacy without fully obstructing the beautiful view of the neighborhood, children may be heard playing in the yard during the day. We are also situated very close to downtown... so if absolute quiet is what you're seeking, this may not be the best spot for you. Also, guests will need to navigate a few wooden porch steps and stone path steps near the gate and front door, as well as the spiral staircase inside the dwelling.
