Explore the beauty of Caddo Lake's bald cypress swamp from your back yard. Launch your kayak/canoe at Backwater Jacks, meander through the Paddling Trails and then navigate by water back to your cabin (accessible by canoe/kayak/mud boat when water level is high) where you can relax around your campfire while grilling the fish you just caught! This 2-bedroom, 1 bath cabin accommodates 6 people, with plenty of yard space for extra day guests for a nominal fee. (Advance approval required.) Entrance to swamp is outside of fenced yard area, and is not suitable for children. 2 Queen beds in private bedrooms; futon in living room that extends to a double bed. Manager just up the road, and available by phone. We are located on Big Cypress Bayou, part of the Caddo Lake tributary, and the same body of water on which Caddo Lake State Park is situated. Jefferson, Texas is just a 10-minute drive, or a 60-minute boat ride, and Uncertain, Texas is about the same distance in the other direction. There are 2 parking spaces available at the cabin. Please let the host know if you require additional parking for vehicles or boat trailers. WiFi is not available in this cabin, but can be accessed on the RV Park premises just around the corner. (It is, however, extremely limited!) DISH satellite service is provided in the cabin, and you may or may not be able to stream on the "smart" tv via your phone's WiFi setting, depending on your provider. AT&T does not work well here.
