This 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is perfect for families or groups. We have tried to think of everything you might possibly need and several things that are just for a little bit of luxury! When you walk in the sunny, yellow door, we want you to feel at home. Everything here is for you to use and enjoy. Take a cup of coffee and enjoy it on the porch swing or snuggle up in the sun room and watch some movies. Whether you are here for game days, family trips, or work, please make yourself at home! This mid-century charmer has been thoughtfully planned for maximum relaxation and family fun! We are close to the action but far enough away to avoid the noise and traffic. Please enjoy the use of a front porch with a swing, a well stocked coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar, a kitchen with everything tool you need, a full laundry area, two tv's with premium channels AND a workspace with high speed internet. While the house has been updated and modernized we did keep as much of the vintage charm as possible. "The front porch" What Southern house is complete without a porch swing? Enjoy watching the world go by while catching a breeze! The front door has a coded lock for ease of check in. "The common area" The center of the house has an open concept living/dining/kitchen for maximum gathering space. The lounge area has a huge sectional sofa that seats 8 comfortably and a tv equipped with a ROKU. Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Disney+ and ESPNgo are provided so that everyone has something to watch! The dining room table seats 6 comfortably for family dinners or a game night with friends. In addition, the nearby kitchen island seats an additional 4 people. The coffee bar is set up with a Keuring and is stocked with a selection of coffees, teas and even some hot chocolate for the kids. The kitchen is stocked with all the dishes, silverware, glassware and pots and pans you need to make big dinners if you choose. There is a dishwasher so no need to wash by hand. There will be cooking oils, condiments and spices in the cabinets to make your meal planning easier. "The sun room" My favorite spot in the house, the sun room is equipped with a large tv and ROKU with the same packages as the living room. In addition, this room has a work desk with high speed fiber internet access so if you have to catch up on some work, you have a bright, inspiring place to do so. NOTE: The two large chairs in this room fold out into beds. While I don't think a large adult would find them very comfortable, they are perfect for smaller or younger guests. "Laundry" There is a washer/dryer set just off the kitchen with a built in ironing board and iron. Detergent and fabric softener will be in the cabinets for your use. "The Master" This room has a king sized, dual side control, Sleep Number bed outfitted with premium linens. There is a bathroom across the hall with a tub/shower combo. "The Blue Room" This room has a queen sized bed and an en suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. "The Silver Room" This serene room has a queen sized bed and adjoining Jack and Jill bath with a shower. The bath is shared with the "game room." "The Game Room" OK, I was wrong, THIS is my favorite room---perfect for kids or kids at heart. In addition to two twin beds, this room has a pack-n-play crib stored in the closet for our tiniest guests. The room comes stocked with several games and toys to make the younger guests feel at home. As a special surprise, the nightstand between the beds is an actual checker/chess board. The pieces are in the drawer. "Parking" There is room in the driveway for 2 full sized vehicles and room for 2 more on the street. There is a motion activated camera on the driveway to provide security for the vehicles parked in the driveway. Everything here is for you! If there is something that I didn't think of, let me know so that I can fix it! Self check in is easy with a code lock. That's completely up to you! If you want peace and quiet, you can have it. Or if you want a personal tour of town or campus, I am up for that as well. I'm always available to answer questions, or even just make recommendations on restaurants or fun activities. Oktibbeha Gardens is a classic Starkville neighborhood. Lots of cute cottages where people feel safe walking dogs and riding bikes. We are less than 2 miles from campus and an easy walk to downtown so you are close to the action without the noise or traffic. The driveway has parking for 2 cars and two more can easily fit on the street in front. We only ask that you not park in front of the neighbor's house. The SMART bus stop is 3 blocks from the house if you want to use it, or everything else is a short drive. Because of the best practices in sanitation suggested due to Covid-19, we may not always be able to accommodate requests for alterations to check-in/out times. Thank you for your understanding.
