Your "Retro Diner" room is in a basic 3 BR-home in retro/vintage style and has all you need to "survive" comfortably. At our reasonable rate do not expect Ritz Hotel like service, we are a simple AIRBNB hoping you'll feel here like home. If you need Thrill'N & Fancy then this place is not for you and better go on searching to find something where they thrill you with fancy rates. Located on NE side of Norman so in under 10 min. you are back on I-35. 5-10 min to Downtown, hospital, and OU Campus. Note: We did not get spared from the heavy hail storms this year and two windows got broken in the kitchen and boarded up. Getting insurance assistance and contractors is taking time and we appreciate your kind understanding and patience as we get things fixed up again. The house is still comfy to live in though . Despite that some other things are on the list of upgrading still (upgrade bathroom, windows etc) this place is yet comfortable and has everything you need to replenish and "survive". We are true to the origins of Airbnb (except the air mattress) where you are welcomed in a humble home where people live. Though you may feel like entering a museum - and some review critics smartly pointed out that "everything is just old" - but that is the point. You will be taken back to the early 70s and 80's where the 'older' generation may get a smile out of seeing daily used items from those 'ol'days' and the younger generation may get an opportunity to look at outdated gadgets that once were considered "state of the art" Your room, decorated in Good ol' Days Diner themed style, has a full size bed, smart TV, desk, and small closet No, the phone is not hooked up but you sure may play with it and get a feel like we made calls in the 70's and 80's. Kitchen is fully equipped to prepare your meals and is for everyone to use. There is also complementary coffee to wake up right , no matter what time of the day. ;) We have a table outside in the back yard so you may dine with birds and squirrels as your guests. Washer,dryer, iron/board , we got that for you too. Now, before you book: Please be so kind and have read all what we are offering. In a nutshell: You are looking at a private ROOM and not the entire house (please don't laugh , but I get to hear plenty "oh , I though I get the entire house to myself" ) . Know what you get and how little you will pay for all the conveniences accessible to you. If you want hotel service then please go there . But if you understand that you will be welcomed in a HOME where other people live and common areas are shared (it's not a display home nor a paradise resort) then please accept our invitation to come over and stay with us. Thank you for being our cool and valuable Airbnb-ers! Before you finalize your reservation, I would like emphasize that this is a budget place where everything in town might as well cost you double. If you plan on comparing my place to a HOTEL and expect the same service for the minuscule rate that we are charging then please do everyone a favor and rather book where you may enjoy those mini Motel cells and or go where you" get it all" and see what you pay there. I operate at a slim margin so that YOU Airbnb-ers can travel on budget. I know much more can be done but then I would charge you double. No need to go around and criticize things we have disclosed and rate for what you get and what you paid for and not for what you can get elsewhere at significantly higher cost. Cameras are in common areas for your and our safety. Violations will be reported to Airbnb and charged at $100 for each breaking the rule which will assist us with specialized cleaning.
