We are a Bali Family born & raised here creating our life in the sacred mountains of the Island getting immersed in the nature of our Island Home Bali. Working towards self sustainability and trying to bring conscious sustainable changes to the North of Bali amongst the indigenous Balinese people of the Mountain - passionate about organic farming, holistic health, and preserving indigenous knowledge. Recently we built our second building on the land which is our family Home, the Joglo, that we live in full time, and are now renting our previous abode The Gladak (this listing) - This Gladak was our special home for some years and the space in which our son was born, it is truly special and was crafted to suit our everyday life, we know you will appreciate it very much and find how special it is. The Gladak is a cozy nest carefully created with a large comfortable bed over looking the mountains and valleys, with a large kitchen and tall windows, light flows everywhere and the mountains can be seen from every room of the Cabin, the bathroom has a view of all 4 Mountains with fresh Mountain Spring Water, the terrace has a large space with a outdoor fire fit, floor pillows to be enjoyed at night in the fog or under the stars with a hot bath by the fire overlooking the Mountains silhouettes. The Morning is breath taking with the sunrise light on the mountains, especially on Mt Barukaru, the sunrises above the Volcanoes East. (Mt.Abang, Mt.Batur, and Mt.Agung) on a crisp clear morning and In the afternoons the clouds will roll, watch them get trapped in Mt Batukaru's crater and the other peaks while they change every few minutes, watch rain storms brew.. The wildlife comes with the space. Expect the 1st resident of the Gladak the Tokay (tokek) / Gecko. Who will be very vocal in the evenings. Expect all kinds of beautiful and interesting creatures to pay you visit, fireflies in the jungle around you, moths, pray-mantis, crickets, cicadas, and more! The cat loves the Gladak and gets very comfortable with the Guests, she is usually there to welcome you and may stick around for cuddles at sundown while you enjoy a fire, she also helps catch the critters! At sundown we prepare firewood for you. The days are spent either trekking through rainforests, mountains, ricefields, swimming in waterfalls, tubbing in rivers, exploring some of the most sacred temples of the island, cooking classes, hot springs on cloudy days, Bicycle treks, visit organic farms, or spending the entire day in the Gladak admiring the view and taking time to reground yourself, tune back into the nature and let the Mountains do their magic. Cook yourself a delicious fresh lunch at the cabin with locally bought vegetables or stop by the organic farms to harvest your produce, and take advantage of the food delivery service at dinner time if you feel like staying in by the fire! We own 3 dogs, they are all rescued and adopted. We also have 1 rescued cat. The animals are a part of this property. ALL GUESTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR READING THROUGH HOUSE RULES AND IMPORTANT NOTES BELOW. *THIS IS A STAND ALONE CABIN. *THINGS TO KNOW: 1. The Cabin does not provide any meals such as breakfast, lunch or dinner. All guests are responsible for bringing along their own ingredients if they wish to use the kitchen to cook or eat at near by restaurants in the UNESCO Jatiluwih town. This Cabin has a large equipped kitchen for cooking, fridge, stove, oven, kettle, toaster, blender, and more. You may check all our amenities prior to booking. 2. Although we are a stand-alone Cabin, Ibu Pina will do the house keeping daily when guests are out of the Cabin. If guests do not want house-keeping they are responsible for letting us know ahead and cannot expect bins or sheets to be replaced etc if Ibu Pina was not permitted to enter and tidy up. 3. WE DO NOT HAVE WIFI. The only provider that works is TELKOMSEL. Please take note that XL does not work at all. We have purposely chosen to not provide wifi in this listing to create a space and environment for guests to Dis-connect from their electronics and re-connect with nature. See our full description below for WIFI options in the area for those who need to work online. 4. Guests are permitted to make their own fire with the wood we provide. Our disclaimer : All guests are entirely responsible for the safety of the Cabin in the case of a fire that was not responsibly attended to and caused damages to the Cabin. Please be responsible and take care! 5. Guests who did not take the time to read through all of our house rules will suffer the consequences and we take zero responsibility, reviews accusing us will be rebutted. This listing does NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. We are located in the high altitude of Batukaru and AC Is not used by any accommodations here. We are also environmentally conscious people. 7. THERE ARE NO GOJEK/GRAB IN THIS AREA OF BALI. 8. THIS LISTING IS NOW A SELF CHECK-IN CABIN. Check-in time is from 2pm onwards. Please note we currently do not have a sign YET - we will be sending through photos of what our entrance and parking looks like as a guide with clear instructions on how to find the cabin - read carefully. 9. All guests prior to check-in receive a very comprehensive guide book with a ton of recommendations and tips ect via WHATSAAP. 10. We provide motorbike rental, Booking drivers for day trips/tours. Airport drop off / next location drop off is all possible with the local drivers of the area. 11. BY BOOKING THIS ACCOMMODATION YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN A REMOTE PART OF BALI AND NATURE BASED ACCOMMODATION. 12. WE EXPECT GUESTS TO LET US KNOW AHEAD IF THEY ARE BRINGING A DOG AND IMPUT IT INTO THE BOOKING. - yes we are very dog friendly but we like to know ahead if we are expecting another dog to not take our dogs by surprise and avoid any conflict if any. Please do not bring aggressive dogs as Bu Pina has been bitten numerous times by Bali Dogs when she has had to enter the Cabin and we will no longer tolerate it. 13. Currently the Bath is hooked to an electric heater which means it can only allow a certain amount of hot water to fill the bath. We know this is an inconvenience and we are in the process of changing it to a Gas system. 14. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MOSQUITO REPELLENTS. 15. THERE IS NO ATM IN THE AREA. BRING CASH. 16. Ibu Pina can collect your laundry and bring it to the laundromat. Without any fees. Your bill will be handed to you when it's done. 17. Upon entering Jatiluwih you will have to buy a ticket for each person, its 40k per adult. Keep this ticket with you during your stay as you may need it each time you enter the rice terraces area. 18. Yes we have car parking space. Reminder there is NO GOJEK NO GRAB in the area. Book your transport on departure with us if needed. Most of the time myself and my husband are on the property as we live in the Joglo with our toddler with Ibu Pina. *PLEASE KEEP IN MIND WE ARE LOCATED IN A REMOTE PART OF BALI. We will no longer tolerate it. WE WILL BE ABLE TO TELL if this rule was broken and we will be adding it to your airbnb review. This rule INCLUDES OUR OWN DOGS if they are permitted inside the Cabin by guests. In the case of this Guest will be charged foe extra laundry fees. 2. CLOSING THE BLINDS BEFORE SLEEPING AND LEAVING THE CABIN IS MANDATORY. All guests are responsible for closing the 3 blinds of the terrace before sleeping. We are located in a HEAVY RAINFOREST with constant rainfall. Failure to close the blinds will results in a wet soaking couch which means we will have to get it cleaned and dried immediately to avoid mould. In the case of this Guest will be charged foe extra laundry fees. 3. CLOSING THE BATHROOM DOOR AT NIGHT BEFORE SLEEPING AND LEAVING THE CABIN is also mandatory for the same reasons, as the bathroom will be drenched. 4. USING THE FIRE PILLOWS AT NIGHT ON THE DECK - Please being them inside before going to sleep where they can stay dry. Failure to do this will result in being billed for laundry fees. 5. Guests are responsible for reading through our Amenities section on airbnb to know what we provide and do not provide. 6. STRICTLY NO HARMING WILDLIFE. We ask all of guests to be conscious of their waste and use of resources on the mountain. *WHAT TO BRING PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MOSQUITO REPELLENTS. Some nights can get very cold and some warm, but generally you will want to wear long sleeves, pants and socks in the evening and if raining. Day times can be very hot and the afternoons start to get cloudy that's when the mountains will be covered on most days and usually rains in the afternoon, although in the dry season rain is rare and days can be clear all day long. You may want to bring some snacks or ingredients to cook with, but the kitchen has general cooking Condiments like salt/oil but please be prepared with groceries if you plan to cook. You will receive all the information you need for your stay via Whatsaap 2 days prior to check-in. Such as recommendations of restaurants, activities and more! Guests have access to the entire property which includes the land, the gardens, the paths, and of course the Gladak (the cabin) Our home the Joglo is situated in the property as well. Separate from the Gladak. Guests will have access to Ibu Pina all day long for all their needs as well as access to my (the hosts) Whatsaap number for any needs daily. We are always available to assist our guests and Ibu Pina can be found on the property everyday taking care of the animals, the land, the laundry, and our house. She also will be available via Whatsaap to all guests. Please be respectful at all times and considerate of Ibu Pina's time and conscious of the types of demands requested.
