The Texas House
The previous owner's son built this cabin himself. The tin on the ceiling was reclaimed from an old barn taken down in the area. The cedar rails on the stairs and cedar posts around the house were cut from this property. The cedar around the windows as trim as well as the stairway and loft are also from this property. Outside we have a LPG barbecue. Also in the outside area we have a paver area with a 30” Solo Stove Yukon fire pit with sitting for nine. The perfect pit for toasting s’mores. There is a fishing pond that all the guests can use as well as a kid area with a sand box and swing set by the red barn barndominium towards the front of the property. Please be mindful as this is a shared space. The cabin sets on one acre but there is another 4 acres of woods past the cabin that can be hiked on but watch for snakes. You are welcome to call Tina if you need anything or have any questions! Feel free to let us know if you prefer to not be bothered. It is a quite country setting just a few miles from the lake. Most of the nextdoor neighbors have acreage. You can bike for fun but car is the recommended mode of transportation for this area. We are a getaway location not a party location. We dont mind a group of people getting together but your group should not exceed the number of guests the house accommodates.
